Radiohead play In Rainbows through for a New Year's Eve webcast
Radiohead saw in the new year with Scotch Mist, an hour of the band playing every song from In Rainbows at their studio in Oxford. Between the songs came poems and film made or chosen by the band. It was taped beforehand, with no audience, and was their second broadcast from the studio since Thumbs Down in November.
Thom Yorke announced it on Dead Air Space, the band's blog, on 26 December, to go out as the album arrived on CD: on XL in the UK on Monday 31 December, through TBD and ATO in North America on 1 January.
this is a wee celebration of the release of the physical manifestation of 'in rainbows'.

Scotch Mist went out on radiohead.tv at midnight UK time. In the US it was shown at midnight Eastern on the cable channel Current TV and its website, with three repeats through New Year's Day. The whole show stays up on Current.com, and MTV2 is to show it on Sunday 13 January.
Most of it is the band playing in the studio, though “Faust Arp”, Glide Magazine reports, was taken outdoors into a field. The hour ended on a new video for “Nude”, the second film made for the album, shot in extreme slow motion.
