Radiohead to close the In Rainbows download on 10 December

Radiohead are shutting the pay-what-you-like download of In Rainbows on 10 December. They gave the date on 5 December in a post on Dead Air Space, the band's blog, headed “The End of the Beginning”.

The album went up as a download in October, with each buyer choosing what to pay. From 31 December it can be bought in the usual way¹, on CD, vinyl and download from ordinary outlets, through XL. In America it reaches the shops a day later, on 1 January, through TBD/ATO. No more discboxes will be made once the stock at W.A.S.T.E., the band's online store, has sold.

The post thanked everyone who came and downloaded the music. It's been the most positive thing we've done and we hope you shared the experience with others.³
