Radiohead's other three animation contest films go up on MySpace
The “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi” film from the In Rainbows animation contest went up on MySpace Music on 21 November. The films for “15 Step” and “Videotape” are due there on 25 and 28 November, NME reported. Tobias Stretch, from Pennsylvania, made his “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi” film, “Transmutation”, in stop-motion with papier-mache puppets he spent two months building. It sets people against the natural world.
Kota Totori, from Japan, made “15 Step V2.0” in a manga style. In it a small boy passes through one adventurous world after another. Wolfgang Jaiser and Claus Winter, from Bavaria, set “16 Tracks Vs. Videotape 2.0” in a car park haunted by animated installations.
The contest was run by aniBOOM with TBD Records, the band's American label, and drew about 900 entries. Radiohead chose four winners themselves in August. The fourth, Clement Picon's film, became the official “Reckoner” video at the start of October. A single $10,000 prize was first on offer; the band paid each winner that sum to make a full film.
