Radiohead get five Grammy nominations, including album of the year

Radiohead have five nominations for the 51st Grammy Awards, announced on 3 December. In Rainbows is up for album of the year and for best alternative music album, where Beck and My Morning Jacket are among the other nominees.

“House of Cards” is nominated for best rock song, against Bruce Springsteen's “Girls in Their Summer Clothes”, and for best rock performance by a duo or group with vocal. The fifth nomination is for the In Rainbows discbox, the boxed edition of the album, in the category for boxed or special limited edition packages.

The ceremony is at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on 8 February. Jonny Greenwood has a nomination of his own, for his There Will Be Blood score.
