Atoms for Peace play a secret show in Los Angeles tonight, Friday 14 June, under the name Club Amok, and not one ticket has been on sale. The show was announced only yesterday, and the people going learn where it is by email or phone today.

Entry comes three ways: draws on three Los Angeles radio stations, KROQ, KCRW and 98.7; a raffle of ten pairs at $10 a ticket for the Silverlake Conservatory, the music school Flea founded; and, for everyone else, buying Amok at selected independent record shops in the city. It is over-21s only.

Tonight is billed as the start of the group's dates in the US, Europe, Mexico and Japan, though the tour itself opens at the Zenith in Paris on 6 July. Pre-orders are also open for the third 12-inch in the Amok series, “Before Your Very Eyes” backed with “Magic Beanz”. The Los Angeles site Grimy Goods reports that Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich have already played DJ sets around the city, at the Roosevelt hotel's Nightswim, at a private house party and on KCRW.

Tonight the group are billed to play songs from Amok and from Yorke's 2006 album The Eraser, with The Gaslamp Killer DJing after them.
