Atoms for Peace's Essential Mix airs unreleased Radiohead
Atoms for Peace's first Essential Mix, broadcast on BBC Radio 1 on Saturday 9 March, gave a first airing to a piece of unreleased Radiohead called “Harmonics Loop”. Fact describes it as less a finished track than some looped guitar harmonics; Relix hears as much of Thom Yorke's solo work in it as of recent Radiohead.
Yorke and Nigel Godrich put the 39 tracks together, and a new Yorke track, “Has Been”, made its debut among them. Seven are Yorke's, alone or with Jonny Greenwood, and four are Radiohead's, including Jamie xx's club remix of “Bloom”.
