Atoms for Peace's Amok enters the American chart at number two

Screenshot: Atoms for PeaceAmok, the first album by Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich's band Atoms for Peace, has entered the Billboard 200 at number two. It sold 50,000 copies in the week to 3 March, Billboard reported on 6 March from Nielsen SoundScan figures.
A sale kept it off the top. Bruno Mars's Unorthodox Jukebox rose to number one on 95,000 after Amazon MP3 sold it for $1.99 on 26 February; without that, Billboard reckons, it would have finished on about 48,000, just under Amok.
In Britain Amok went into the Official Albums Chart at number five on 3 March, the week's highest new entry.
Back in America it is number one on Billboard's Rock, Independent and Dance/Electronic album charts. With Mumford & Sons at three and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis at four, it is also the first time since Nielsen SoundScan began powering the chart in 1991 that three of the top four albums are independently distributed.
