Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich's rag & bone catwalk music goes online

written up for the archive

About nine minutes of music Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich wrote for rag & bone's autumn 2013 menswear show went online on 1 February with footage of the show, and the label is streaming it on its Facebook page. Godrich plays with Yorke in Atoms for Peace.

Yorke has scored a rag & bone show before. Two pieces from the label's September 2011 show, “Twist” and “Stuck Together”, surfaced in January 2012, with Jonny Greenwood credited on the second.

The new show was held a couple of days ago in a dark basement on Manhattan's west side, ahead of New York Fashion Week, with slowed-down projections of the models walking. The FADER called it a sombre show and the music twinkling and electronic.
