William Hill suspends Spectre theme bets over £15,000 on Radiohead
William Hill stopped taking bets on 28 July on who has recorded the theme for Spectre, the Bond film that opens in Britain on 26 October, after a customer in Middlesex asked to put £15,000 online on Radiohead at 10/1.
The bookmaker had been about to close the book on Ellie Goulding, backed heavily earlier in the day after she posted a picture of herself leaving Abbey Road Studios with the caption That's a wrap

Sam Mendes, the film's director, has told the BBC the song is already finished. Nothing but the bookmaker's suspicion ties Radiohead to it. Rupert Adams, who speaks for William Hill, told the Daily Record that surely nobody risks £15,000 on a hunch
