They are the band's first concerts since the King of Limbs tour ended at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on 17 November 2012. Radiohead close the middle day of NOS Alive, which is in its tenth year. An unnamed source has told Consequence of Sound that the band mean to headline festivals in America too, with a North American run expected in July.
A new album, not yet announced, would be their ninth, and the first since The King of Limbs in 2011. Their one new recording so far is “Spectre”, the song written for the James Bond film and turned down for it, which they put out on Christmas Day. In October the five registered a company, Dawn Chorus LLP, as they did before In Rainbows and The King of Limbs, and both those albums were announced only days before they came out.
