Radiohead opened the first encore of their second night at the Oslo Spektrum on 7 June with “I Promise”, a song they had not played live since 1996.

The studio recording, made in the OK Computer period, came out five days earlier. It is one of three previously unreleased songs on OK Computer OKNOTOK 1997 2017, the twentieth-anniversary reissue due on 23 June.

Thom Yorke told the crowd the band are not usually people who look back, but that it had been interesting when they did. What a bunch of nutters we were and probably still are. One of the crazy things we did was not release this song.4
