Thom Yorke ends his Sonos Radio Hours with a two-hour mix
Thom Yorke's third and final Radio Hour for Sonos went up on 6 August and runs to about two hours, from Laurie Anderson's “O Superman” to “Sex Beat” by the Swedish act Dungeon Acid. Nicki Minaj and the jazz reed player Bennie Maupin are both in it, and so is “The Lotts”, from Fontaines D.C.'s 2019 debut Dogrel. It can be heard in the Sonos app and on Mixcloud, Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer.
The hours were made for the Sonos Sound System station, separate from Yorke's round-the-clock station on Sonos Radio, In the Absence Thereof…. The first ran in May, and its tracks became a playlist on 28 May. The second went out on Wednesday 24 June and stayed in the Sonos app only until 1 July; on 29 June Yorke posted its 20 tracks as In The Absence Thereof…V2.
That list has Frank Sinatra's “Send in the Clowns” and two songs by the Italian singer-songwriter Fabrizio De André.
