Thom Yorke gets a round-the-clock station on Sonos Radio

Thom Yorke has a radio station of his own, In the Absence Thereof…, the first of the artist stations on Sonos Radio, which the speaker company opened on 21 April. The service is free in the Sonos app and the artist stations carry no adverts. Brittany Howard, David Byrne and Jack White's label Third Man Records have stations to follow in the coming weeks.

Yorke calls it a new form of a long-running habit, the office chart he keeps of whatever has lately caught him, music that moved him, obsessed him or sent him somewhere he had not been. Whatever has hit me over the head basically. It may be new or old or just dug up again.¹

With all this time we have behind doors I hope this provides a welcome connection and escape…and perhaps stops the walls closing in quite so quick.
