Thom Yorke postpones his American tour over the coronavirus
Thom Yorke has postponed the North American leg of his Tomorrow's Modern Boxes tour because of the restrictions brought in to slow the spread of COVID-19, he said on Twitter on 13 March. The run was due to open at the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia, on 28 March, a fortnight from now, and take in three New York nights, Chicago, St Paul, Denver, Phoenix and Sacramento. Instead of new dates, he asks ticket holders to wait for news of a new routing later in the year.
Coachella, where he was to play both weekends, 11 and 18 April, moved its 2020 edition to 9-11 and 16-18 October on 10 March.
The three Mexican shows, in Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City from 22 to 25 April, still stand by Consequence of Sound's account, though Andy Greene of Rolling Stone took the postponed run to end in Mexico City on 25 April. Britain and Europe from June are unchanged, and so is his solo set below Massive Attack at All Points East in London on 24 May.
