Rai Radio 2 to air Radiohead's 1994 set at Balélec in Lausanne

Rai Radio 2 will broadcast Radiohead's set at the Balélec festival in Lausanne on 20 May 1994 this Saturday, 21 March, from 9pm to 10pm Italian time. Swiss public broadcasting recorded the show on the campus of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Carolina Di Domenico presents the hour, part of the station's #IoRestoACasa (I'm staying at home) programming and timed for 25 years of The Bends; it also goes out on RaiPlay Radio.

The night fell between Lucerne and Munich on the band's European tour that May, and Swiss FM radio aired it at the time. A recording of that broadcast circulates.

Ten months before The Bends came out, the Lausanne set already had “Fake Plastic Trees” and “Street Spirit (Fade Out)” in it.
