Radiohead start a weekly run of concert films on YouTube

written up for the archive

Radiohead are putting a concert film from the Radiohead Public Library, their online archive, on their YouTube channel once a week. They announced the series on Instagram on 8 April and promised to keep going until the restrictions ease or they run out of shows. Which will be first? No-one knows.2

The first, Live From a Tent in Dublin, premiered at 10pm UK time on Thursday 9 April. It is cut from the band's three nights at Punchestown Racecourse in County Kildare on 6, 7 and 8 October 2000, a few days after Kid A came out. Dilly Gent directed it and Quin Williams edited it. The film runs 54 minutes and ten songs, by the band's own running order: it opens with “The National Anthem”, keeps mostly to Kid A, takes in “Paranoid Android” on the way, and ends on “Everything in Its Right Place” and “Just”.
