Jonny Greenwood helps score Evolver-Prologue, a VR trip through the lungs

Jonny Greenwood is one of the composers of Evolver-Prologue, a virtual reality piece whose first teaser is out this week. It takes the viewer inside their own body, following particles of oxygen as they are breathed in, down into the lungs and on through the blood.

Greenwood wrote the original soundtrack with Elliot Cole and the vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth. A first look was shown at the Annecy animation festival this month. Variety reported that a nine-minute preview is due at Cannes in July, in the Marché du Film's XR programme.

The piece comes from two VR studios, Atlas V in France and Marshmallow Laser Feast in the UK, with Orange's XR division as co-producer. Terrence Malick is an executive producer, alongside Edward R. Pressman, who produced Malick's first film, Badlands.
