The Smile stream a rehearsal on Instagram Live
The Smile streamed a rehearsal on Instagram Live today without warning, the first look at the band since their debut on Glastonbury's Live at Worthy Farm stream in May. Jonny Greenwood spent it on a Fender Precision bass, and at one point played it with his violin bow.
The footage that went round afterwards has three songs: “Look at All the Pretty Lights”, “Free in the Knowledge” and “You Will Never Work in Television Again”. Guitar World called the new songs guitar music, nearer Radiohead's early records than their recent ones.
Thom Yorke played a Bigsby-fitted Epiphone Casino and Tom Skinner the drums. Greenwood kept a blonde Telecaster and a Les Paul Goldtop standing by.
Lots of it is just about finished. We're sitting in front of a pile of music, working out what will make the record.

Greenwood said that of the band's album when he talked to NME in September.
