Thom Yorke plays four Radiohead songs solo for the first time in Zermatt

Thom Yorke played a solo acoustic set at Zermatt Unplugged in Switzerland on Saturday 9 April, with four Radiohead songs in it that he had never played on his own: “Bodysnatchers”, “Exit Music (For a Film)”, “Decks Dark” and “Daydreaming”. Two more were new to him alone: “Rabbit In Your Headlights”, his 1998 song with UNKLE, and “Pana-vision”, the latest single by The Smile.

Zermatt Unplugged is an acoustic festival at the foot of the Matterhorn, and Yorke had the last night of this year's run, in its tent stage, the Zeltbühne. He opened with “Has Ended”, one of four pieces from his Suspiria score in the 23 songs.

“These Are My Twisted Words” and the title track of The Eraser were back in a solo set of his for the first time since 2010. Three more Radiohead songs were on the printed setlist and went unplayed, Stereogum reported: “Like Spinning Plates”, “Sail to the Moon” and “There There”.
