Thom Yorke told the crowd at Forest Hills Stadium in New York on Friday 7 July, and so, he said, they have a lot of new songs. Six of The Smile's 19 that night are not on their album, the new “Bending Hectic” included, alongside every song from the album bar “Open the Floodgates”. Robert Stillman, opening the tour as he did last year, came back on for nearly half the set, including the opener “Pana-Vision”, “Colours Fly”, “Teleharmonic”, “The Smoke” and “You Will Never Work in Television Again”.
Bill Pearis, reviewing the night for BrooklynVegan, describes Yorke dancing through the set and urging the crowd to go wild, and picks “The Smoke”, with Yorke on bass, as the crowd's favourite and one of the night's best moments.
