Thom Yorke scores Daniele Luchetti's film Confidenza

Thom Yorke has written the score for Confidenza, the new film by the Italian director Daniele Luchetti. He announced it today by posting the film's poster on his social accounts, with no comment. It is his first full score for a feature since Luca Guadagnino's Suspiria in 2018; in 2019 he wrote songs for Edward Norton's Motherless Brooklyn.

Luchetti and Francesco Piccolo wrote the screenplay from Domenico Starnone's 2019 novel of the same name (the title means “trust”). The film is set in Rome and follows a schoolteacher who becomes romantically involved with a former pupil, with Elio Germano, Federica Rosellini, Vittoria Puccini and Isabella Ferrari in the cast.

None of the music has been released. The film has its world premiere in the Big Screen Competition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam, which opens tomorrow.
