Before “Single File” he greeted the hall in French, Bonsoir Paris. Merci. C'est jeudi, c'est le week-end, on y va !
1 (“Good evening Paris. Thank you. It's Thursday, it's the weekend, let's go!”, in our translation).
Emmanuel Stranadica, reviewing in French for Sound Of Violence, found the hall not sold out but well filled. ESKA opened the night. The set closed with “Brasil”, which got the hall dancing, and “Obrigado”. Introducing “Sail On”, O'Brien said he had felt a little ill that morning and had been lifted by the spirit of resistance he saw outside a school that day. In a break he told the hall that, for all his years in a band, he was not used to being out front.
