Radiohead were the very first band on Conan O'Brien's Late Night.
The opening night went out without a band; on the second, 14 September 1993, Radiohead played “Creep”. Conan told viewers he really liked them, then said they had “taken self-loathing and raised it to an art form”. That Friday they began a co-headline tour of America with Belly, in Houston.
