watch the desert

Thom Yorke's slow fall in the “Street Spirit” video was done after a few whiskies.

Jonathan Glazer shot it in black and white over two nights in a desert outside Los Angeles, on high-speed cameras with frames taken out, so that everything drifts. Yorke did the fall himself after three or four whiskies, Glazer said, onto a mattress later removed by computer. The single reached number five, Radiohead's highest British placing yet.
