Radiohead and Belly sing “Stay” together at the Warfield
Radiohead and Belly finished their night at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco on Sunday with both bands on stage for “Stay”, Thom Yorke and Belly's Tanya Donelly trading the vocal while the crowd stomped and moshed. Rachel Leibrock, reviewing it for The State Hornet, Sacramento State's student paper, calls it the last night of their tour together, and finds Yorke looking happy.
Radiohead's 13-song opening set struck her as far more intense than their records, with echoes of the Pixies and Nirvana, and “Creep” came out angrier and creepier than on disc. Yorke, in a white pyjama-style outfit with his blond hair over his eyes, held so little back that she expected him to wake up with a sore throat.
Phil Selway, interviewed for the piece, admits a hit that size is intimidating, since everyone will now be looking for the next “Creep”.
That level of success does change how you see the band in some ways. You have far more confidence in your material, far more confidence in the band.

Pablo Honey was made in three weeks, and “Creep” in a single take, with the band unaware the tape was running. They have played more than 300 shows, and want clearer focus and better production on a second album due by the middle of next year.
We don't want to just reiterate Pablo Honey, I think we'd get very bored of it.
