Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood try two new songs at FNAC in Nancy

written up for the archive

Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood played a six-song acoustic set in the auditorium of FNAC, the French book and record chain, in Nancy on Tuesday 15 June, and, by the notes with the tape, gave two new, unreleased songs their earliest known airing: “Bullet Proof..I Wish I Was” and “Lozenge of Love”.

Their set also took in “Faithless, the Wonder Boy”, the B-side of “Anyone Can Play Guitar” and, the notes add, a rarity live. A good audience recording of the set survives, though the opening song cuts out.

That evening the full band played the Ciné 3000, 17 songs with “Creep” fifth, and brought “Thinking About You”, the in-store's opener, back as a second encore.
