Radiohead lose the “Innocents Civilian” master tape

Radiohead cannot find the master tape of “Innocents Civilian”, a song from their current sessions, Ed O'Brien writes in his studio diary. On Monday they were on the message board at radiohead.com and someone asked about the song. Once they had logged off they decided to put the master up on the site, and then nobody could lay hands on it. can’t find it anywhere which is incredibly strange. it’s got to turn up.¹

The tape had still not turned up on Tuesday. still can’t find the master tapes to ‘innocents civilian’ and beginning to worry.² The band have been talking over the worst cases, U2's among them, whose rehearsal tapes went missing and ended up sold as bootlegs.
