Radiohead try “True Love Waits” for something like the 561st time
Radiohead put “True Love Waits” up again on 9 February, and Ed O'Brien reckons in his diary that this is something like approach number 561. The song has been around for four years or so, and the band recorded a version of it while making OK Computer. He calls it a great song; the trouble is finding a way of doing it that excites them.
This time the vocal melody stays and the chords under it have changed.
The plan is to leave it and come back to hear how it sounds. O'Brien allows that it may be dreadful, and that the band may have lost the plot on this song altogether. please don’t let that be the case
