Radiohead broadcast from their studio on radiohead.com this evening, without any warning, and among the new music was the first airing anywhere of a song with the provisional title “There There”. NME tips it for the album the band are making.

Ed O'Brien calls these nights “amateur hour”, and this one was stretched to four hours. He lists the attractions as a campfire, a log fire, an upside-down table football table and some ZX Spectrum programmers. The first was in December, the night “Knives Out” was first heard, by an audience O'Brien put at about 250. This time the band spent two hours getting ready, there were more cameras, and the technical team had doubled, from one person to two.

On camera Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood and Phil Selway played an improvised jam. The band sat round the fire, danced and held drawings up to the lens, and Jonny played some electronic music of his own. O'Brien wishes more people had seen them getting drunk and making fools of themselves. the great thing about these evenings for us is that they are the antithesis of how i think we’re perceived ie angry, angsty young men2

The band are part-way through recording the follow-up to OK Computer, and now take a week off before going back into the studio. O'Brien thinks the songs they have been working on could be finished in the next few weeks. these days are a bit like being a child again…just throw it all in and see what comes out.2
