Thom Yorke has made a new version of “We Suck Young Blood” for the project, and the other remixers include Cristian Vogel, Kid Koala, Madlib and Four Tet.
Two of the remixes are already in the shops: the “2+2=5” single, out on 17 November, carries Vogel's take on “Myxomatosis” and Four Tet's on “Scatterbrain”.
The record first surfaced in mid-October, when MTV News in the US reported that Radiohead were asking artists they like to rework songs for an EP or album in 2004, with Madlib on “Sit Down. Stand Up”. A UK spokesperson told NME then that there were no plans for a British release.
Greenwood says the band still haven't settled whether the remixes make one whole record or a series of smaller releases. But then we've also been talking about doing a B-sides record as well. We talk and talk!
