It is the fifth festival abroad announced for them this month. Glastonbury, the band's British date, was confirmed separately yesterday, with Radiohead headlining the Saturday.
The summer now runs from Hultsfred in Sweden, where Radiohead headline the middle day, 13 June, to Les Eurockéennes de Belfort in eastern France, where they headline the opening day, 4 July. The first of the run to be announced, on 1 February, were two German festivals in one weekend, Southside on 20 June and Hurricane on 22 June.
This is Werchter's 30th edition and the first to start on a Thursday, a day the festival says it added because so many strong acts were available. Radiohead share that first night's main stage with Björk and Underworld.
