MTV2 in the US has placed Thom Yorke at number 18 in its countdown of the 22 Greatest Voices, one place below Jewel. Mariah Carey is number one, with Bono fourth and Björk eighth.
The 22 were picked by the channel's viewers. In January, with Yorke already on the list, MTV2 asked Radiohead fans around New York to email in why his was the greatest voice and how many times they had seen the band, and planned to film the most interesting of them talking about him.
