Thom Yorke says Radiohead's EMI deal is done and EPs may come next
Radiohead's contract with Parlophone, part of EMI, is done, and Thom Yorke tells the Associated Press he is delighted. Hail to the Thief, out in June, was the last album under it. Free to do anything, he is not sure what the band will try next, though another album is unlikely and EPs are more likely. We feel that after 'Hail to the Thief' we want to definitely disappear into a black hole of the unknown rather than carrying on where we left off.

For now the band are resting, after the North American tour ended at Toronto's SkyDome on 15 October. The European arena tour opens in Oberhausen on 10 November, and dates in Japan and Australia are being confirmed for April.
Whatever comes next has to let Radiohead keep moving on musically, which Yorke says is what they have always done. It has always been album after album, and he thinks the music business will have to change because the way people listen is changing. Things like iTunes and people splitting up tracks. I kind of think that's good. I listen to music on random all the time.
