Radiohead win Best Album and Best Video at the NME Awards
Radiohead won two awards at the NME Awards at Hammersmith Palais in London on Thursday 12 February: Best Album for Hail to the Thief and Best Video for “There There”. Kings Of Leon presented the video prize, and Thom Yorke went up with the band to collect it.
They came into the night with five nominations, more than any other act on the shortlist. The awards are voted for by NME's readers, and more than 25,000 of them voted this year, a record. We know we can try people's patience

Thom said it was his first time at the awards in ten years. For the Godlike Genius prize he put forward the Pixies, who are re-forming and whom Radiohead are due to play with; Jonny's choice was Stephen Malkmus. The two of them thought the wine on offer was awful, and went out to buy their own.
