Observer Music Monthly's poll of 100 musicians and critics, Morrissey one of them, puts OK Computer 24th among the best British albums of all time. The Stone Roses' 1989 debut is first, ahead of The Beatles' Revolver. BBC News, reporting the poll on Sunday 20 June, points out that OK Computer usually heads lists like this one.
Three weeks earlier Q's writers had it fourth in their own poll, in the magazine's July issue, with Oasis's Definitely Maybe first. Observer Music Monthly's voters leave Definitely Maybe at number 19, five places above OK Computer.
