Sigur Rós remember touring with Radiohead as two bands in separate corners

Jónsi, Sigur Rós's singer, tells the Icelandic newspaper Morgunblaðið that the band did around 10 concerts with Radiohead, supporting them on their autumn 2000 tour, without getting to know them. The two bands kept to their own corners, though they talked a good deal with Colin Greenwood, whom Jónsi calls a top guy.
Kjartan Sveinsson puts the distance down to the size of Radiohead's crew, with security staff on walkie-talkies everywhere. Earlier that year Sigur Rós had toured with Godspeed You! Black Emperor, who did everything themselves. Radiohead's large staff surprised Jónsi, and he calls both tours a lesson in how things are done.
