From the Basement DVD to carry Thom Yorke's solo piano session

Radiohead and Thom Yorke are both on a two-hour DVD of From the Basement, Nigel Godrich's session programme with no host and no audience, due from Eagle Vision on 3 November. The disc ends with Yorke alone at the piano, playing “Down Is the New Up” and “Videotape”.

The band's two performances, “Reckoner” among them, come from the In Rainbows session sold through iTunes as a video album in June. Seventeen acts appear in all.

Yorke's session opened the programme's first episode when it launched online in December 2006, and Sky Arts showed it last December in the first television series. Neither song had been released when he played them. “Videotape” has since closed In Rainbows, and “Down Is the New Up” is on the second disc of the In Rainbows boxed set.
