Thom Yorke plays a surprise DJ set at the Roosevelt in Los Angeles

Thom Yorke took over the turntables at Tropicana, the bar in the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles, on Tuesday night, and Twitter had him playing Major Lazer. He arrived with Nigel Godrich.

Tuesday at Tropicana is normally the weekly night of the DJ Chris Holmes. LA Weekly's Randall Roberts pieced the night together from the many posts about it. A source told the paper the set was unplanned, which is why nobody announced it.

What Yorke is doing in Los Angeles is being kept quiet, Roberts says.
