The record, out on Nonesuch in March, sets Krzysztof Penderecki's Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima and Polymorphia beside the pieces Jonny Greenwood wrote from them, Popcorn Superhet Receiver and 48 Responses to Polymorphia. It grew out of a concert in Poland last autumn that put the two composers side by side.
Tonight's conductors are the album's. Penderecki conducts his own music, and Marek Moś takes Greenwood's.
