Thom Yorke sings “This” and “Shipwreck” with Modeselektor at Coachella

Thom Yorke joined Modeselektor at the end of their set on the last night of Coachella, Sunday 22 April, and sang “This” and “Shipwreck”, his two songs on the Berlin duo's 2011 album Monkeytown. “Shipwreck” closed the set. Before they went on, Modeselektor put a backstage photograph of themselves with Yorke on Instagram.

Radiohead had headlined the Saturday of the festival's second weekend, as they had the first, and that weekend Yorke played records more than once. At Brainfeeder's party at the Ace Hotel he shared the decks with Flying Lotus and the Gaslamp Killer. After Saturday's show he DJed for friends and family at the Parker hotel in Palm Springs from about 4am, and the Los Angeles Times reported that he played James Brown, Diana Ross and Snoop Dogg, then left the decks to join the dancefloor himself.
