“Planet Telex” and “I Might Be Wrong” join Radiohead's set in San Jose
Radiohead played “I Might Be Wrong” and “Planet Telex” for the first time on the tour at HP Pavilion in San Jose on 11 April, one in each encore. Sean George, reviewing the sold-out show for Metro Silicon Valley's Activate site, counted both among the highlights.
The 23 songs took in every album except Pablo Honey, nearly all of The King of Limbs and the unreleased “Identikit”. When The King of Limbs came out the band had said they were not sure how they would play some of its songs live. George thought they now sounded better on stage than on the record.
Thom Yorke talked more than George had heard him in about ten Radiohead shows. Between songs he talked about politics, Silicon Valley and the rain. Early on he asked the crowd where he was, and kept asking until they roared “San Jose” back at him; when he came out for the encore he shouted a hello to the city.
