Thom Yorke dances a duet in Atoms for Peace's “Ingenue” video
Atoms for Peace's video for “Ingenue”, out on 28 February, has Thom Yorke dancing with the contemporary dancer Fukiko Takase on a bare theatre stage against a white backdrop. She wears the same tan suit as him, her hair pulled back like his, and copies his jerks and flailing arms in her own more fluid way.
Garth Jennings directed it and Wayne McGregor did the choreography, the pair who made Radiohead's “Lotus Flower” video in 2011. That one was shot in stark black and white with Yorke dancing alone, and the internet turned it into animated GIFs by the thousand.
Forrest Wickman, writing for Slate, spots karate chops and a debt to Monty Python's Ministry of Silly Walks, and calls the whole thing surprisingly old-fashioned, three-piece suits and all.
