Radiohead's Parlophone albums pass to Warner
Warner Music Group said on Monday 1 July that it had completed its $742 million (£487 million) purchase of the Parlophone Label Group from Universal Music Group, and with it the label that released Radiohead's first six albums. The band's two records since, In Rainbows and The King of Limbs, came out without a major label and are not part of it.
Radiohead are on the Parlophone roster beside Coldplay, David Bowie and Pink Floyd. Warner agreed the deal in February. Universal had owned the albums only since it bought EMI last year, and European regulators made selling Parlophone the price of that takeover.
