Jonny Greenwood opens for Beck in Dublin, then plays Best Kept Secret
Jonny Greenwood and soloists of the London Contemporary Orchestra opened for Beck at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin on Wednesday 17 June. As RTE noted when the show was announced, Beck had been Radiohead's support act in the same city, at Marlay Park in 2006; nine years on, Greenwood was opening for him.
The programme began and ended with pieces of Greenwood's own for which the programme names no film.
Four days later, on Sunday 21 June, they opened the last day of Best Kept Secret, at Beekse Bergen in Hilvarenbeek in the Netherlands, at 11 in the morning. They played the same ten pieces, with the last two swapped so that “Loop” ended the set.
