Philip Selway says Radiohead's diary fills up in September

written up for the archive

Work on Radiohead's next album has come in fits and starts, but come September it just becomes quite a full schedule.1 Philip Selway says so to Ghostpoet, the London musician, in the first part of a Talkhouse Music Podcast conversation published today. Earlier this month Jonny Greenwood said the band were working on the record in periods.

Radiohead played only with each other for so long, Selway says, and that takes a band only so far, so on each album they try to get past their comfort zone. we kind of change record to record, try and change the underlying approach to making music.1 Part of it, he admits, is the band's short attention span.
