The festival named him in her place on 21 August.
With Nigel Godrich on electronics and the visual artist Tarik Barri running the visuals, he played songs from Tomorrow's Modern Boxes, The Eraser and the Atoms for Peace album Amok, and no Radiohead songs. Three of the songs he played are still unreleased: “Impossible Knots”, “Not the News” and “Traffic”, which got their names in Osaka in August.
Michael Hubbard, reviewing the weekend for musicOMH, calls Yorke its biggest draw and the show well run, if long for anyone who had not come for electronic music. Yorke and Godrich played from laptop podiums in front of spare visuals. “Cymbal Rush” was the one that got the hall moving.
