Thom Yorke played Tomorrow's Modern Boxes at Zepp Namba in Osaka on 13 August, and the unreleased songs in the set now had titles: “Impossible Knots”, “Not the News” and “Traffic”. Stereogum has the setlist and clips.

DIY reported that “Traffic” had been heard already on 19 July in his late set at the Latitude festival in Suffolk, which nobody had announced and where he first played the record live. Osaka was the first show billed for the record, with Nigel Godrich on stage, two nights before the Summer Sonic all-nighter in Tokyo. The set also had “Twist”, which Yorke made for the fashion label Rag & Bone's show at New York Fashion Week.

One fan saw Yorke pick up an acoustic guitar and half expected “Creep”.
