Thom Yorke and Rachel Owen separate after 23 years

Thom Yorke has announced that he and Rachel Owen have separated. Owen, a printmaker, met Yorke at the University of Exeter, and they have two children.

Yorke's statement, released on 15 August, is brief. Rachel and I have separated. After 23 highly creative and happy years, for various reasons we have gone our separate ways. It's perfectly amicable and has been common knowledge for some time.¹
