Radiohead played their first concert in Iceland on Friday 17 June, headlining the opening night of Secret Solstice at Laugardalur Park in Reykjavik. If ticket holders would set up their own Periscope stream of the show for the benefit of the rest of us, we have a few WiFi codes to hand out5, the band posted beforehand on W.A.S.T.E., their website and fan club.

Fans were to send their Periscope names to the Twitter account @doorisnowclosed and would be told where to pick up a code at the venue, with no promise of one for everybody. Several did stream the set that night, for anyone in the world to watch. The invitation ran the other way from Adele, Kate Bush, Jack White and Alicia Keys, who have all taken a stand against phones at their shows.

A Moon Shaped Pool came out on CD and vinyl that day, and the band opened with its first five songs in album order. Dazed puts the crowd at about 11,000, and at one point Thom Yorke stepped back from the microphone and let them sing a line. The AU Review has photographs of the set.

“Creep” had come back in Paris in May and been played again at Primavera Sound. In Reykjavik it was written on the band's printed setlist as “Q.E.D.”.
