Thom Yorke played a short acoustic set under a gazebo in a neighbour's garden in Oxford on the afternoon of Sunday 12 June, in the gap between Radiohead's festival nights at Primavera Sound in Barcelona on 3 June and Secret Solstice in Reykjavik on 17 June. The first the world heard was a text from one guest to his son, warning him that entertainment was about to come from “neighbour Tom Yorke of Radiohead2“, name misspelt. The son posted the messages on Reddit.

Another guest, Ciaran, put a short clip of “Reckoner” on Twitter the same day, with Yorke on guitar, guests chatting in the background and red wine in shot. Sunday was the last day of the official celebrations of the Queen's 90th birthday, and Ciaran said that was what the party was for.

The father went round the party asking what had been played. From what the guests remembered, his son passed on “Desert Island Disk”, one of the new songs on A Moon Shaped Pool, along with “No Surprises”, “Street Spirit (Fade Out)”, “Reckoner” and “I Might Be Wrong”.
